Recently, the 7th "Milan Design Week - Excellent Works by Teachers and Students of Design in Chinese Universities" award ceremony and the 8th competition launch ceremony were held in Qingdao Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Center. Zhang Di, a graduate student majoring in radio and television of Wuhan Textile University, and Hua Shuai, a graduate student majoring in art and design of Wuhan Textile University, attended the award ceremony as representatives of students of the National Competition Grade Award.

The event was presided over by Professor Rao Jian, Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of Milan Design Week and Dean of the School of Art and Design of Hubei University of TechnologyMore than 500 people attended the event. At the award ceremony, Professor Wan Fan, Dean of the School of Design of Yunnan Art University, and Professor Liu Dongxia, Dean of the School of Art of Taiyuan University of Technology, presented awards to the representatives of the National Competition grade awards. Zhang Di, graduate student of radio and television of the School of Communication and Communication of Wuhan Textile University, and Hua Shuai, graduate student of art and design of the School of Communication of Wuhan Textile University, accepted the awards and took a group photo as the representatives of the National Competition winners.

"Milan Design Week - Excellent Works of Chinese University Design Teachers and Students" is jointly sponsored and hosted by China Education Association for International Exchange and China Association of Higher Education, and is specifically organized by the AAP Project Management Office of China Education Association for International Exchange. It belongs to the "National University Discipline Competition Ranking" competition. The competition is held once a year, and has been successfully held for seven sessions so far, receiving a total of more than 105,000 works submitted by teachers and students from nearly 800 universities across the country, actively promoting the exchange and progress of art education in Chinese universities. In this competition, the works of students from the School of Media and Communication won 12 awards after the fierce competition of school competition, provincial competition and national competition, including 2 national first prize and 2 national third prize; Won 1 first prize, 3 second prizes and 4 third prizes in the evaluation of Hubei Competition area.

All along, the School of Media and Communication has been constantly improving students' theoretical and practical skills, perfecting students' professional character and enriching students' social experience by taking disciplinary competitions as the channel, taking competition teams as the starting point, promoting learning and teaching through competitions. In the future, the College will continue to encourage students to participate actively in the hope of achieving better results.
